Darwin’s nooks and crannies… for those who are tired of the lemming like tourist path

If you have done  every tourist trap there is out there your hip pocket can support and are looking for a little something different. There is in Darwin a very geographically informed blogger who has a knack for discovering hidden gems. Now, admittedly if you’re only in Darwin for less than a week, then no doubt you can be quite satisfied by just hopping on a tour bus like all the other lemmings who come into town, but if you are here longer such as a student or here for work, what you really need is someone local who has real boots on the ground experience of the local scene. For that you should check out http://discoveringdarwin.wordpress.com/

Miriam Raphael is the blogger, and she is the perfect candidate to write about the nuances of Darwin. Why, well she has written several guides for lonely planet for one and she knows how to take a decent picture!… trust me, it’s a skill not a lot of bloggers have…
