A tribute to Mises the Man

I found the following essay about Mises by Rothbard reprinted at www.lewrockwell.com to be one of the best summaries on one of the greatest minds of our time. This is a must read. It is a half glass full read. It is inspirational. It is a lesson to never renounce truth for personal gain. It is a calling for all citizens to throw themselves into the intellectual battle of our modern times because our economic futures depend on it. It is about an unyielding man of principle. It is about how sticking to the above can have positive unintended consequences. It is above all about ideas because ideas matter.

This is the reason why Mises and the Austrian school of economics lives on through mises.org and why Mises contemporaries lack any kind of pervasive legacy with dedicated torch-bearers.

Mises the man is being painted by Rothbard with broad but vivid brush strokes. Rothbard no second contender himself when it comes to economic history and thinking shows why Mises had such an impact on his life and thinking.

Thank god for Mises and the internet revolution. Without which there would be no Rothbard that we know today, no Ron Paul Re3olution and certainly no blog posts such as this.
